OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Opportunity
Our client is the market leader in the provision of bespoke energy metering, monitoring and billing services to high energy users such as hospitals, factories, residential apartments, commercial properties and industrial sites. Their client portfolio contains local authorities, universities, factories, housing associations, private landlords and utility energy suppliers.
The company is now entering into an exciting new business sector and has already won several major contracts with large public sector property developers who now have to consider renewable energy in order to obtain planning permission for new build projects.
Despite a contracting economy, the Company has been through massive recent growth with record breaking sales and now seeks to strengthen its Service team with a Service engineer.
Responsibilities
- Planning on site new installation product commissioning works
- Delivering tasks and operations in line with timeline targets and requirements
- Self-Managing daily activities via use of a structured hand held system.
- Operating within agreed operational and Supervisory guidelines
- Maintaining effective internal and external client or user relationships within own area of responsibilities
- Delivering Health and Safety policy and standards
Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Engineering qualification to a minimum NVQ level within a related field
- Possess 18th edition wiring regs and 2391 inspection and testing
- Current technical background, preferably building services engineering related
- Have a good technical understanding and previous experience in a similar services industry.
- Good communicator, able to work and adapt in a fast-moving industry
Desirable
- Experience of building services engineering within district and community heating
- Experience of working within the construction industry
- Understanding communal/district heating
- Experience of working as part of a team in a real working environment
- Ability to provide high levels of customer satisfaction
