Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Electrician on behalf of a bespoke mechanical engineering company who manage the complete mechanical engineering process including design, manufacture and commissioning.

Operating over 35 years, they are a family owned organisation who have gained a reputable name within the industry for their high-quality work and excellent customer service.

They have a client base which boasts some of the biggest names in the engineering sector. Mainly working within the Waste Water and Clean Water industries they provide a range of services including surveying through to design, fabrication, installation and implementation.

As the Electrician you will be working on a range of equipment including pumps, motors, control panels, lights etc.

This is a permanent position covering the South Coast, Working Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm. Perks include Van & Fuel Card, overtime, pension, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, training & development etc.

Responsibilities

• Service/maintenance and installation work.
• Undertake fault finding work and also work on control panels.
• Work to tight time schedules and deadlines making sure all are met to the highest standard.
• Work closely with specialist sub-contractors.
• Working to Health & Safety Practice.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Water industry experience (preferred)
• 17th / 18th Edition Qualified or other relevant electrical qualification.
• Ability to fault find, diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
• Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
