OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled HVAC Engineer on behalf of a well-established FM and Building Services Contractor.

Operating for almost 10 years now, they have grown massively since the start and now employ over 100 members of staff.

They work in a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Educational, Health and Leisure. Clients include Hotels, Car Showrooms, Retail Stores, Universities etc.

As the Multi-Skilled HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works on plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across various Scottish sites.

This role will be covering Central Scotland and the East Coast. Perks include Van & Fuel card, and you will be paid door to door travel. Plenty of overtime and weekend work available. 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Pension. There is also a 1 in 5 call-out rota. Training and development opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

  • HVAC Repairs: Diagnosing and resolving issues with plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • PPM Works: Conducting scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent system breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Site Inspections: Regularly inspecting HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommending necessary upgrades or replacements.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of work carried out, including service reports, equipment logs, and inventory management.
  • Emergency Response: Being available for on-call duties to address urgent repair needs outside regular working hours.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all work complies with relevant industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Proven experience as an HVAC Engineer, with expertise in plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Relevant qualifications in HVAC engineering or a related field.
  • Hold Commercial Gas Tickets.
  • F-Gas certification for refrigeration systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and management.
  • Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
  • An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
  • Full UK Driving License.
