Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Plumber on behalf of a Facilities Management company who provide a wide range of mechanical and electrical support to Heathrow Airport.

They have been working closely with Heathrow Airport for over 10 years now and have a fully equipped workshop within the Airport. Providing their experience with the design, supply, installation, commissioning and fault finding with all aspects of electrical and mechanical systems.

As the Plumber, you will Carry out PPM, and Reactive plumbing repairs and servicing. Installation work may also be required. All works undertaken in accordance with the health and safety at works act, company safety procedures and contract specifications.

This is a permanent position, based at Heathrow Airport, paying £45k – £50k per annum. Working Monday to Friday, 7am – 4pm.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPM’s are completed within the contract defined time SLA’s & KPI’s.
• Also able to carry out installation work when required.
• Ensure the Client, Customer and Team are ‘kept in the loop’ through feedback and regular updates.
• Correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure.
• Contribute to the delivery of a quality service, aiming for 100% satisfaction of the Customer.
• Communicate daily with helpdesk/Supervisor regarding status of PPM and Reactive tasks.
• To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.

Skills & Attributes

• Have a relevant plumbing qualification.
• Experience working within FM or the building maintenance industry.
• Able to pass DBS/security clearance.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
• Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
